The newly created role illustrates our commitment to being the lifecycle partner of choice for anyone deploying our M&J Valve and Copes-Vulcan OEM branded valves or seeking to improve the performance of third-party equipment.”
David Young brings a wealth of experience to the role. Holding a Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, he has more than 30 years of experience in international technical and managerial roles with companies including Petrofac and Severn. His expertise includes the design, manufacturing, and overhaul of rotating and static equipment, working in both dynamic service environments and original equipment manufacturing. David is also no stranger to the Celeros FT portfolio, having started his career as an apprentice in Glasgow at the company that is now their ClydeUnion Pumps brand, rising to be Principal Engineer.
In addition to his day job, David enjoys making and playing music. He shares his electronic compositions via various social media channels, and currently has more than 4,500 followers on Instagram!
Commenting on his recent appointment, David says: “My remit is both challenging and stimulating. The global valve aftermarket team is already delivering many outstanding engineering solutions, so an early priority will be to foster more knowledge-sharing to further improve consistency and excellence of delivery for all our customers. Working with the Celeros FT leadership team, I’m looking forward to developing and growing our global network and expanding our customer offering.”
